At the same time, the threshold for the “high-cost protection” (h\u00f6gkostnadsskydd) on prescription drugs drops from SEK 2,600 to SEK 2,400 per year, meaning patients hit the cap sooner and pay less out of pocket.<\/p>\n
For homeowners, the deduction for interest expenses on mortgages and other loans shrinks from 30% to 25% for interest costs above SEK 100,000 annually. Several measures target organized crime and unauthorized stays. Also in October, unemployment insurance (a-kassa) conditions tighten: members must now have worked at least six months (up from five) in the past 12 to qualify, and the “work requirement” clock resets only after 300 hours of new work, not just any income.
